John Hancock Community legible Handwriting Championship is an ideal opportunity for schools to celebrate the benefits of handwriting education and skills development at grassroots of learning and showcase their straight/print and cursive skills.
John Hancock Community Championship Facts:
1. We have more than 1.5 million pupils who have participated in the championship since 2015.
2. We hope to alleviate 96.4% illegible handwriting in Nigeria, any other country in Africa and 25-33% in United Kingdom.
3. Participants can enter by mail or online submission.
4. All participant entries, both manuscript straight/print and cursive, are judged according to world standard Keys to Legibility: Shape, Size, Spacing, neatness, rules of lines & alphabets, consistency & focus of participants.
5. The sentence all participants are required to write on their entry form is chosen because it contains every letter the alphabet:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
6. All National Champions and John Hancock Award Winners receive a cash prize and special gifts!
